Essa Kazim

Kazim is the Chairman and CEO of Borse Dubai and Dubai Financial Market. Kazim began his career as Senior Analyst in the Research and Statistics Department of the UAE Central Bank in 1988 and then moved to Dubai Department of Economic Development as Director of Planning and Development in 1993. He was then appointed Director General of the DFM in 1999.
He holds a Master degree in Economics from the University of Iowa and a Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Economics and Computer Science from Coe College, USA.
In 1998, he also achieved a Masters degree in Total Quality Management from the University of Wollongong in the UAE.

Soud Ba'alawy is the Executive Chairman of Dubai Group, the leading diversified financial company of Dubai Holding. It is established to focus on Banking, Investments and Insurance, both at a regional and global level.
Ba’alawy was previously CEO of Dubai Investment Group and played a key role in its foundation and growth. He has more than ten years experience in banking and investment with Citigroup, and was the Vice President of Gulf Treasury in Citibank Dubai. He has also served as Chief Investment Officer of Dubai Internet City and Vice President of The Executive Office.
Known for his strategic insights and entrepreneurial vision, Ba’alawy has overseen the growth of Dubai Group and its local office network that spans from New York through London to Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong.
A UAE National, Ba'alawy is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK.

Saad Abdul Razak

Saad Abdul Razak used to be the Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Islamic Bank. Before taking his role as CEO he held the positions of Deputy CEO and Executive VP for Retail and Corporate Banking.
Under his leadership, Dubai Islamic Bank was awarded the JP Morgan Award 2003 for Operations Quality, Innovation In Islamic Banking 2004 by Banker Middle East Magazine, The Best Overall Islamic Retail Banking and Best Islamic Bank for Women by Islamic Financial Weekly Magazine, published by EuroMoney Institution Finance.
Prior to joining Dubai Islamic Bank, Abdul Razak spent 4 years at ABN AMRO Bank in various managerial positions within the Corporate and Retail banking arenas.
In 1992, Abdul Razak joined Standard Chartered Bank. As the Head of Sales and Distribution, he managed 500 people and revamped the Branches, Contact Centre and Customer Service department.
He completed his graduate degree in Business Administration and received the Sheikh Rashid Award for Academic Excellence.

Fadel Al Ali
Executive Chairman of Dubai Holding Operations
Fadel Al Ali is Executive Chairman of Dubai Holding Operations and responsible for all strategic, financial and operational areas of Dubai Holding in addition to Marketing and Communication, Legal and Business Excellence. Al Ali is also responsible for Corporate Governance and Compliance and setting Group policies, goals and objectives. Previously he held the position of COO and CFO of Dubai Holding L.L.C. He was appointed as CFO of Dubai Holding in September 2004 and promoted to the position of COO in Dec 2005.
Prior to this he was the Head of UAE Distribution Citibank, N.A. Dubai. Al Ali has over 16 years experience with Citigroup covering Consumer Credit management, financial control, sales and distribution and strategic planning.
He previously worked for the Dubai Municipality as head of the Follow up and Control Unit in the Horticulture Department for 2 years before joining Citibank.
Al Ali holds a BSc Honours in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. He also holds a certificate of Finance from the American University of Sharjah.
